Verunka has over seven years of marketing experience with fashion/beauty/technology startups and non-profits. She has completed Fashion Business and Marketing Courses at Parsons - The New School and General Assembly in NYC.
In 2015, Verunka launched the NYC Chapter of The Shoebox Project, which helps homeless women across NYC receive gifts during the holidays. With the use of social media, strategic partnerships, and storytelling, donations increased over 450% within a few years totaling over $400,000 in 2018 alone.
Throughout the years, whether she is trying to find ways to change the public’s perception of homelessness, or advising a startup fashion brand, her goal is to find the core story that needs to be told.
